Photo of school campus: swimming pool

I took photos of the swimming pool in our school campus because that is the place l like to swim and also, I go to the swimming pool almost every day to for CCA. This pool has man memories of sad moments but also happy ones. Without this, my life in Hwa Chong would have had been quite boring and my grades would also be not as good as this is the place where info to whenever I am bored all that I am feeling stressed. After unstressing I would feel so much better and would be able to study better. However, this place also left me very bad memories like falling down and injuring my leg, getting scolded and pumped by the coach, and aldo wuarelling with one of my teammate. This place gives me the feel that I have an identity as all of my teammates support me which gives me confidence to speak up and have a place and identity in this society so that u can also have an identity when I grow up.

LA homelearning

'Set
'Set
The main moral of this comic strip is to set a good example for others and that you are sometimes doing things that are wrong without even noticing it. This comic strip is about a father who tells his son to follow in his footsteps and learn from him although he uttered vulgar in front of his son without even noticing it. His son started to learn from him and forty years later, when is already an old man and his son has already grown up, he discovers that his son also utters vulgar and asked him for the reason. He is to hear his son telling him that he learnt from him.

I choose a home with not much furniture for the first picture to show that the father is not very rich and that he is uneducated and hence, speaks vulgar. However, his son has a home that has more furniture and this is to show that just because the father did not set a good example for his son, there is irony that such a rich son should be educated enough to not speak vulgar but the son is.

Also, the same background for picture 2 and 3 was made the same on purpose to show that the son learnt directly from his father. This shows how a setting can create such an effect to make the story more interesting.

Lastly, the son eating the green candy helps to make readers understand that the son has grown up if not, they will be confused why the characters suddenly "change" in the comic although the truth is that they have grown up and old.

Black eyed peas- where is the love

This song refers to the fight against racism. It talks about how people are getting involved in fights because of racisms that should be avoided and that people are being killed for nothing and nothing good is coming out from the surplus of hate. My favourite part is "But if you only have love for your own race then you only leave space to discriminate and to discriminate only generates hate and when you hate then you're bound to get irate, yeah"
as I find this part very meaningful because of you only love your own religion, then you will think that other religions are not good which leads to you discriminating against them and then generating hate which will lastly make you irate. The flow of words in telling you what will happen when you only love your race is so smooth and also very creative yet realistic makes that part my favourite part.

Write about a sing that had impacted you: Apologize

Introduction(not counted in the 150 words)

Apologize by One Timberland is a song that had a great impact on me. I heard it at a mall and from its sad tune; I could tell that it must have had some meaning in the lyrics. So, I went to check it out and found that I was correct. This song had a sad story behind it and also a life lesson. This song is about a girl presumably who is taking for granted the fact that she knows the boy will always take her back. But now the boy is starting to realize that he can't keep taking her back. So he is either figuratively or literally dying. I think that because the song starts and ends with "I'm holding on a rope got me ten feet off the ground" means that the boy is in the same position in the beginning as he is in the end, which means he's still in love. I think that even though he knows he can't keep taking her back, he can't help but still love her anyway.

Impact

Before I heard this song, I was one who did not know how to cherish the things that I had. Therefore, I lost many friends and wasted the time I had with my parents. I did not appreciate my parents’ love and care for me. After hearing this song and the underlying meaning of its lyrics, I finally woke up and found that I had not been cherishing all the things I had, and had started to regret it. It taught me that I had to appreciate everything that I had, for example, my friends, my parents, my phone and that I have food to eat, instead of saying that I do not like a friend's face, not listening to my parents' advices, saying that I do not like my phone and that I want a better one, or also complaining that I do not like the food my mother cooked while people in other countries are starving and do not even have money to buy clothes. I have to cherish them because people will die and leave us one day, so it is best to do so when they are still alive or we will regret it. This song also teacher us to move on in life when something bad happens.
